Job summary

A veterinary care provider in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking a Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse to guide and support the nursing team. You will be responsible for mentoring staff, ensuring practice policies are followed, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate holds a relevant nursing qualification and has a minimum of 2 years of experience. Avonvale Veterinary Practice - Stratford-upon-Avon

Full-Time • 40 hrs/week • 4.5 days • 1:7 Saturday mornings

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated RVN to join us as our Lead Nurse, helping guide and support our talented nursing team while shaping the future of our progressive practice.

What You’ll Do

As Lead Nurse, you’ll play a key role in:

  • Supporting, developing and mentoring our nursing team
  • Working closely with our Senior Vet, CNM and fellow nurses
  • Ensuring practice and group policies are upheld
  • Helping create a happy, efficient and collaborative working environment
  • Enjoying full nurse utilisation - including consults and Schedule 3 procedures
  • Facilitate clinical audits at your site as required within your area of responsibility
  • Organise and carry out 6 monthly PDRs with the members of staff line managed.

Our nursing team includes those with interests in anaesthesia, ECC, behaviour and more-so you’ll be surrounded by colleagues who are as passionate about development as you are! You’ll also be supported by our fantastic Patient Care Assistants.
