Job summary
A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Lead Engineer in Protection & Control Systems to oversee complex projects within the UK Transmission & Distribution sector. This role offers the opportunity to lead design and delivery activities while collaborating with various stakeholders. Qualifications
- Strong understanding of UK Transmission & Distribution systems.
- Experience with protection & control technology from major vendors.
- Knowledge of IEC61850 implementation and substation protocols.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of protection and control systems.
- Develop architecture and concept-level designs to meet project requirements.
- Produce technical documentation including Functional Design Specifications.
- Deliver designs, schematics, and calculations for protection and control.
- Support project managers with risk and cost management.
Skills
Understanding of UK Transmission & Distribution systems
Experience with protection & control technology
Knowledge of communications systems and cyber security
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
Education
Degree (BEng/MEng) in a relevant field
