A leading health organization in the UK is seeking a Lead Midwife for Patient Safety to provide strategic and operational leadership within maternity services. You will oversee compliance with national safety standards, lead investigations, and champion a transparent and equitable safety culture. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Frimley Park Hospital as the Lead Midwife for Patient Safety. As part of this full-time permanent opportunity you will work within the Clinical Governance Team.
This role is a clinical split:
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic and operational leadership for patient safety within maternity services. The post holder will lead the implementation of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), ensuring the service moves beyond traditional risk management toward a proactive, systems-based learning culture. The post holder will ensure the service meets all national safety requirements (CQC, MIS and MNSI), while maintaining clinical credibility through active shift coordination.
