As a senior clinical leader, you will be responsible for the safe, effective, and woman-centred care within our maternity department. The role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure high standards of care, clinical governance, and adherence to national and local guidelines. The post holder will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including obstetric, anesthetic, and neonatal colleagues, to provide clear clinical leadership and expertise.
You will oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of evidence-based care pathways, ensuring safe escalation, timely decision-making, and a positive experience for our service users. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced senior midwife with strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. As the lead midwife, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of induction and elective caesarean section services, ensuring safety, quality, and compassion remain at the heart of our maternity service.
You will conduct audits and analyze service performance, patient outcomes, and feedback to identify areas for improvement and sustainability.
