Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced site-based HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance during the turbine installation phase at a wind farm. The role demands competent safety leadership, daily site safety inspections, and thorough HSE documentation. Candidates should possess proven experience in construction or renewables, along with an IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate. Qualifications

• Proven years of experience in a site-based HSE role within construction, renewables, or heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of wind turbine installation risks and safe systems of work.
• Familiarity with SIMOPs and multi-contractor environments.
• Experience supporting lifting operations or turbine erection.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safe working practices across all installation activities.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and monitor high-risk operations.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and point-of-work risk assessments.
• Complete and maintain HSE documentation.
• Support incident investigations and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
• Liaise with client and customer HSE personnel.
