Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Forensic Consultant Psychiatrist to provide strategic leadership in mental health services within the criminal justice system. Qualifications

  • Full GMC registration; CCT or CESR in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
  • Minimum of 5 years' postgraduate psychiatric experience with at least 2 years in forensic settings.
  • Prior Responsible Clinician role with experience in secure inpatient services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical management of a defined caseload and oversee psychiatric assessments.
  • Provide specialist advice to courts and prepare reports for tribunals.
  • Participate in clinical governance, audits, and risk management processes.

Education

MBChB/MBBS (or equivalent)
