A leading utilities provider in the UK is seeking a Lead SAP Engineer to drive the development and support of SAP solutions critical to its operations. The successful candidate will lead a technical team, ensuring robust integration across finance, HR, and operations. Responsibilities include designing solutions, managing upgrades, and providing mentorship. As a Lead SAP Engineer, you’ll take ownership of designing, developing, and supporting SAP solutions that underpin our business functions. You’ll lead a team of SAP specialists, manage technical delivery, and ensure our SAP landscape remains robust, integrated, and aligned with strategic objectives. This role is key to maintaining the reliability and performance of SAP applications across finance, HR, and operations.
Design and develop SAP solutions aligned with business requirements.
Lead SAP upgrades, patching, and performance tuning activities.
Ensure integration between SAP and other enterprise systems.
Manage SAP change requests and maintain technical documentation.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to SAP engineers.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define solution roadmaps.
Strong experience in SAP development and system administration.
Knowledge of SAP modules, including FI, HR, and PM.
Experience with SAP integration technologies and middleware.
Ability to lead technical teams and manage delivery.
Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
Understanding of ITIL processes and change management.
