Lead Maintenance Engineer

Vauxhall, London

£48,000 – £52,000 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Engineer to join a leading facilities management service provider, overseeing a prestigious high-end residential property in Vauxhall. This is a hands‑on leadership role, taking ownership of the landlord’s plant and engineering operations on site.

Working for a highly respected building services provider, this position offers the ideal balance between technical delivery and team leadership. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance operation, ensuring full compliance across electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, managing subcontractors, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out and allocate PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Maintain, fault‑find, and troubleshoot systems including:
    • Single & three‑phase power, UPS, generators
    • Emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
    • AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, pumps, sprinkler systems
    • BMS operation and monitoring
  • Perform safe isolation of plant and systems in line with regulations
  • Maintain compliance documentation, logbooks, RAMS, and reports
  • Organise, supervise, and manage subcontractors
  • Attend and lead regular client meetings to ensure service excellence
  • Support the Account Manager with reporting and operational updates
  • Undertake hands‑on maintenance and remedial works as required
Requirements
  • City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Installations
  • Strong background in building services maintenance
  • Previous supervisory or Lead Engineer experience (desirable)
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
  • Well‑organised, proactive, and career‑driven
Salary & Benefits
£48,000 – £52,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm
