Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years supervised training in appropriate ST4-6 equivalent programme.
• Registered with GMC with license to practise.
• Approved Clinician / Section 12 approved.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and treatment for perinatal mental illness.
• Act as Named Consultant for women under the Perinatal Team.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Skills

Mental Health Act Approved Clinician

Competent to work without direct supervision

Teaching accreditation for junior doctors

Experience in community psychiatry

Education

Medical degree: MB BS or equivalent

Full GMC registration

MRCPsych passed
