Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Redhill is seeking a Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for a part-time role (0.5 WTE) within the Psychiatric Liaison Service at East Surrey Hospital. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based assessments and interventions, lead a team, and develop services. A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and extensive clinical experience are required. Salary ranges from £66,653 to £77,094 annually, pro rata, with a strong commitment to staff development and person-centred care.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology qualification or equivalent.
  • Completion of an appropriate clinical supervision course to enable supervision of trainees.
  • Additional academic clinical qualification relevant to area of work.
  • Additional leadership/management study.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments and evidence-based interventions to adults in hospital.
  • Lead and supervise Assistant and Trainee Psychologists.
  • Develop and innovate psychology services within the hospital.
  • Work with MDT and physical health colleagues for integrated care.
