Job summary

A healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a full-time Senior Aseptic Services Assistant to join their expanding Pharmacy Aseptic Service. The role involves supporting pharmacy operations, handling and dispensing injectable medicines, and working within compliance standards. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in Maths and English, relevant pharmacy qualifications, and previous hospital experience. The position offers a salary ranging from £24,937 to £26,598 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Competent to receive, assess and action orders for all products managed by PASU.
  • Able to calculate doses and use the Pharmacy's IT system for accurate labels.
  • Competent in aseptic preparation of high risk injectables under Medicines Act.
  • Experience in managing own workload to meet service needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Aseptic Services Team in the daily running of the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
  • Disinfect and transfer items for aseptic processing following departmental processes.
  • Accurately complete checks for safe receipt of deliveries.
