Overview

Landscape Inspector

BEAR Scotland is a leading provider of highway maintenance services across Scotland. We manage and maintain over 2,000km of Scotland’s trunk road network, tackling just about every imaginable task and working round the clock to help keep Scotland moving.

The South East Trunk Road Unit spans 506km through some of the busiest sections of the country, from central Scotland to through the Scottish Borders. Trunk roads in the South East range from the major multi-lane motorways across the central belt to roads through villages in the Borders.

Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Landscape Inspector to join our existing team on a permanent basis. You will be tasked with assisting the team in the annual programmes of inspections and scheme development.

This is a permanent opportunity and will be a mix of site and office based work. Support and guidance will be given to allow the candidate to develop to gain suitable landscape orientated qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Execute site surveys
  • Carry out onsite measures
  • Assist in updating data collection and update of the Landscape Inventory
  • Use and Update Transport Scotland’s Landscape Database AMPS
  • Liaise with members of the public
  • Ensuring compliance with Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures.
