Join my clientsteam in a dynamic support role within a busy engineering machine shop. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of theiroperations. You will be involved in various tasks including swarf removal from machine tools, cleaning machines, basic building maintenance, and general housekeeping. Additionally, you will handle local deliveries and collections using the company van.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Remove swarf from machine tools and maintain cleanliness of machines.
  • Conduct general floor cleaning and basic building maintenance to ensure a tidy and safe working environment.
  • Undertake local deliveries and collections as needed, driving the company van.
  • Support various housekeeping tasks throughout the facility to maintain operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A valid Forklift Truck licence is preferred; however, training will be provided if you do not have one.
  • Full UK driving license is essential for making local deliveries and collections.
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment is beneficial.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • The role is physically demanding, and the primary focus will be on labouring and cleaning tasks.

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Friday: 7:00am to 1:00pm (No premium for unsociable hours but may occasionally be required).
