A renowned healthcare institution is seeking a Labour Ward Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day management and clinical leadership of intrapartum services in Coventry. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management and clinical leadership for the intrapartum services within our tertiary unit providing care to the women of Coventry, Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. The post holder will be a reactive and responsive team lead by the use of effective organizational skills, good communication and multidisciplinary working.
On a daily basis the post holder will be an adaptive and encouraging leader, supporting women's choices and have the ability to seek support when needed. Everyday duties include the management of the acuity to maintain patient flow to ensure safety and quality within the unit. Other responsibilities and opportunities include leadership of the daily LMNS huddle, sickness management and bleep holder duties.
The UHCW maternity unit environment is interesting, unpredictable and challenging, with up to 6000 births per year. The Coordinator will be faced with many competing demands for attention and will be expected to exercise excellent judgement in dealing with both clinical and interpersonal challenges throughout the unit.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
