Laboratory Technician

Monday to Friday with shift work (12 till 8pm)

Azenta Life Sciences is a market leader in automated biosample management solutions and genomic services across areas such as drug development and clinical and advanced cell therapies for top pharmaceutical, biotech, academic, and healthcare institutions worldwide.

We are offering an opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join the Sanger sequencing team based in Takeley, Essex.

No previous experience is required as all necessary training will be provided. Applicants must have a positive “can do” attitude.

What You Will Do
  • Process work orders; record data manually and electronically.
  • Prepare sequencing templates, including preparation, amplification, and PCR purification.
  • Check inventory and replenish consumables.
  • Prepare buffers and related solutions for onsite processors.
  • Follow SOPs and manager’s instructions in training, sample handling, project processing, and documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
