Overview

Fibrisol Service Ltd, part of ICL Food Specialties, is a leading supplier of functional food ingredients. Based at our manufacturing site in West London, we support global food producers with innovative solutions.

The Role

As Laboratory Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) team. You’ll be responsible for routine testing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth running of the laboratory.

The Responsibilities
  • Test raw materials and finished products against company standards.
  • Record and report results, maintaining accurate lab documentation and summary sheets.
  • Calibrate and maintain lab equipment (e.g., pH meters, scales).
  • Prepare reagents and monitor lab stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised lab environment.
  • File and check supplier Certificates of Analysis/Conformity.
  • Support the wider Technical and QA team with admin tasks when required.
  • Contribute to continuous compliance with Health & Safety and quality systems.
The Must Haves
  • Basic laboratory skills and knowledge of lab procedures (ideally in food, pharma, or chemical industries).
  • Good IT and communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including covering holidays/sickness.
  • HND (or higher) in Food Science, Chemistry or related subject.
The Nice to Haves
  • Experience with SAP or similar quality/ERP systems.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing.
  • Method development or mini-mix preparation experience.
