Position Overview

This is an entry-level laboratory support role within an R&D environment. The position focuses on general lab operations, cell culture support, inventory management, and equipment upkeep, ensuring laboratories run efficiently and compliantly. The role supports scientists and project teams across daily lab activities.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations & Maintenance
  • Perform routine stock and inventory management
  • Process departmental stock deliveries and arrange shipments
  • Maintain reusable consumables, including autoclaving support
  • Conduct general housekeeping activities within R&D labs
  • Maintain accurate laboratory and housekeeping documentation
  • Support 6S implementation across laboratory spaces
Equipment & Compliance
  • Perform routine equipment calibrations
  • Raise EWRP notifications when required
  • Support bioreactor setup and teardown (lab-scale and ambr250)
Scientific & Technical Support
  • Prepare buffers, media, and laboratory solutions
  • >Perform cell culture work in support of R&D projects
  • Provide general hands-on support to R&D team members
Education Requirements
  • Required: A-Level / BTEC or relevant scientific qualification
  • Preferred: BSc in Biotechnology or related scientific discipline
