KS1 Class Teacher - January 2026 Start

Location: Islington, London
Pay: MPS 1-6 (£206.75-£268.21 per day)
Contract: Full-time, Monday-Friday (08:30-16:00)
Duration: January 2026 - July 2026, with potential extension

The school is looking for a passionate practitioner who brings enthusiasm, high expectations, and a genuine love for teaching. ECTs are not being considered at this time, so applicants must have proven experience teaching within KS1.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons that inspire, challenge and support KS1 learners
  • Create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
  • Track pupil progress and use data to inform teaching and raise attainment
  • Establish strong behaviour management routines in line with school policy
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, teamwork and enrichment opportunities
