What You’ll Do:

• Be responsible for washing up kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and cutlery using dishwashers and washing up sinks where appropriate.
• Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean according to the cleaning schedule and health and safety requirements.
• Assist the chef brigade in general food preparation and basic food service when required.

General Daily Duties:

• Responsible for the general cleaning of all kitchen areas as per the cleaning schedule.
• Return all utensils to their respective places after washing.
• Sweep kitchen areas regularly.
• Empty bins at regular intervals and dispose of rubbish properly, including as a last task in the evening.
• Operate dishwashers safely, ensuring water is changed regularly.
• Keep the chemical cupboard clean, lock after use, and report any damage to the Head Chef.
• Prepare and assist at special functions outside normal hours.
• Support the chef brigade with basic food prep and other reasonable tasks.

Health & Safety Regulations:

• Adhere to food operation, health & safety, COSHH, and fire procedures.
• Maintain high standards of personal and general hygiene, wearing the correct uniform.
• Keep catering areas clean and tidy at all times.
• Report any issues immediately to the Head Chef.

Customer Care:

• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
• Maintain professionalism with clients and colleagues.
• Report client complaints and compliments promptly.
• Follow management instructions as required.

General:

• Be proactive and helpful team member.
• Attend meetings and company events as required.
• Be available for occasional evening and weekend work.
• Participate in training courses when needed.
