Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen by cleaning and maintaining cookware, utensils, and glassware. The role focuses on hygiene, safety, waste management, and keeping back-of-house areas tidy.

You’ll work to ensure cleanliness and organisation throughout shifts, handling supplies and assisting the kitchen team during peak periods while following safety policies and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware in line with daily operational needs
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately, ensuring bins are emptied and areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the shift
• Adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and practices in line with UK regulations (including HACCP)
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support the kitchen team by replenishing stock, reporting low supplies, and assisting where required during peak service times
• Handle kitchen equipment and items carefully to minimise breakages and maintain inventory integrity
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials where required.
• Safely handle and store cleaning
