Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support a fast-paced, high-profile kitchen. You will wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items and help maintain cleanliness and organisation in back-of-house areas.

You will follow safety policies, assist during peak times, replenish stock, and adapt to flexible shifts. We offer weekly pay and a range of staff benefits designed to support your wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Reliability, discretion, and a professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware in line with daily operational needs
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately, ensuring bins are emptied and areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the shift
• Adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and practices in line with UK regulations (including HACCP)
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support the kitchen team by replenishing stock, reporting low supplies, and assisting where required during peak service times
• Handle kitchen equipment and items carefully to minimise breakages and maintain inventory integrity
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials where required.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
