Job summary

Soho House & Co. is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen and back-of-house operations, ensuring cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and adherence to safety standards. You will help maintain hygiene and organise kitchen spaces while assisting during peak service times.

Ideal candidates have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy venue, show reliability and a team spirit, and are flexible to work weekends and holidays. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy venues or kitchens preferred.
• Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and organisational skills.
• Reliable, friendly, and a collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment in line with safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and keep areas tidy throughout the shift.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety policies (UK HACCP).
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and SOPs.
• Replenish stock and assist during peak service times.
• Handle kitchen equipment to minimise breakages and protect inventory.
• Replenish cleaning materials and toiletries as required.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
