Job summary

Soho House & Co. is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen’s smooth operation by cleaning and maintaining kitchenware, upholding hygiene standards and assisting with waste management.

You will help keep back-of-house areas tidy and ensure equipment is ready for service. Up to 2 years’ experience in a busy venue, reliability and flexibility are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Reliable, friendly, and able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment per safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen spaces and storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and keep bins tidy.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety policies (UK HACCP).
• Follow cleaning SOPs and schedules.
• Replenish stock and assist during peak service times.
• Handle and store cleaning materials and equipment safely.
• Replenish toiletries and cleaning supplies as required.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals.
