Job summary

Soho House in the United Kingdom is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen and back-of-house areas with cleaning, hygiene, and waste management. You will wash and sanitise kitchenware, operate dishwashing equipment, and maintain tidy workspaces in line with safety policies.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and flexibility to work across shifts, including weekends. Training and ongoing development are provided to help you grow within a renowned hospitality brand.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliability, discretion, and a professional attitude.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to multitask and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils and glassware in line with daily operational needs.
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and keep areas clean and tidy throughout the shift.
• Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and HACCP requirements.
• Follow SOPs and cleaning schedules.
• Assist kitchen team by replenishing stock and reporting low supplies during peak service.
• Handle kitchen equipment and items carefully to minimise breakages.
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels and cleaning materials where required.
• Store and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
