Job summary

A leading hospitality company is seeking a Kitchen Manager at Glyndebourne to oversee kitchen operations, manage stock and food ordering, and support the culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in kitchen management roles and strong attention to detail, ensuring operational excellence during events. This is a full-time, permanent position in East Sussex offering a salary of £33,000 per annum plus additional benefits including free meals and parking.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie with strong admin/stock skills.
  • Confident with ordering systems, goods receipting, and supplier communication.
  • Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all stock management processes across multiple kitchens.
  • Manage all food ordering using approved suppliers and systems.
  • Oversee goods-in processes, ensuring accurate delivery checks.
  • Support the Head Chef in ensuring consistent food quality and presentation.
  • Work closely with chefs, front-of-house teams, venue management, and RA support teams.
