Kitchen Assistant Catering and Hospitality - Rowan Park Care Home Contract : Part Time Salary : 12.48 Per Hour Shift Type : Days Contracted hours : 25

Our modern, traditionally built care home situated in the rural town of Radstock, will provide luxury accommodation for 50‑residents. We will specialise in Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care.

We're looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high‑quality meals, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

• Kitchen Cleanliness : Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen area, including equipment and appliances, ensuring a hygienic environment.
• Delivery Handling : Receive, check, and safely store kitchen deliveries, ensuring that all items are properly accounted for and stored.
• Food Safety : Understand and implement safe food handling principles to ensure the highest standards of food safety are met.
• Cleaning Procedures : Follow cleaning procedures for different surfaces and equipment, ensuring everything is sanitized and well‑maintained.
• Presentation : Ensure that all areas are well‑presented and maintained in good condition, contributing to a professional kitchen environment.
• Safe Work Practices : Practice safe systems of work across a range of tasks to minimise risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Health & Safety : Understand and adhere to Health and Safety at Work legislation, always ensuring compliance and safety.
• Professionalism : Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times, fostering a positive and respectful workplace.
