Overview

Are you an experienced Production Cook / Kitchen Assistant looking for work in the Telford (TF7) area? We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our client who is growing pet food manufacture. This is a temp-to-perm position for the right candidate.

Our client has a fantastic new purpose-built factory and are recruiting due to constant growth within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Weighing out ingredients.
  • Ability to follow a flow sheet, which in essence is a recipe card, and be physically able to prepare and lift ingredients into a kettle.
  • Measure, mix, and combine various ingredients to create consistent and balanced pet food recipes.
  • Cooking of ingredients in large kettles by following the specific cooking process.
  • Ability to follow processes and challenge any issues.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Great communication skills.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience as a chef / cook would be beneficial
  • Must be able to carry out manual handling throughout the shift
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Basic numeracy skills for accurate counting and labeling of products
Hours of work
  • Monday to Friday
  • Afternoon Shift: 14:00 till 22:30
Rate of pay

£12.25 per hour
