We are looking for a reliable, passionate, and organized individual to join our team as a kitchen assistant. The role involves supporting the chef in creating healthy and balanced meals and snacks, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, and engaging with the residents. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a kitchen setting, knowledge of food safety and COSHH, and the ability to work as a team player and lone worker.
As a kitchen assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the chef in creating healthy and balanced meals and snacks, ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. You will work as a team player, but also have the ability to work independently when needed, effectively managing your time. Additionally, you will be expected to offer support, communication, and engagement to the residents.

You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to show empathy to the needs of others.
