Job summary

A dedicated education service provider in Lytham is seeking a part-time tutor for numeracy and literacy. You'll work closely with KS1/KS2 students, creating personalized learning experiences to help vulnerable and disengaged children succeed. Patience, creativity, and empathy are essential, as is either QTS or equivalent tutoring experience. This role promises flexible working hours within the community or the pupils' homes and offers a rate of £25 per hour.

Job description

Prospero teaching is currently looking for a tutor experienced in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible creative and nurturing approach. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at risk - students in the early years of their educational journey. The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.

It is Prospero's mission to deliver high quality and engaging support to young people across the UK. As such, we are looking for a tutor who can offer personalized, enjoyable lessons whilst being re-engage these students into education and bring structure into their daily routine.

  • Location - Within the community or pupils' home

  • Minimum rate of pay - 25 per hour
  • Hours - Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family
Experience, Training and Qualifications of the English, Maths and Science Tutor:
  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must:
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
