Job Description:

The Junior Purchasing Officer supports the Operational and Strategic Purchasing functions by assisting with administrative tasks, data entry, and record keeping. The role provides purchasing support to a reduced allocation of vessels. It requires a broad understanding of purchasing processes and the ability to identify support needs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data entry, order management, and expedition of orders and RFQs in Aurora and Agresso systems.
  • Liaising with other departments and stakeholders on supply issues.
  • Assisting the Purchasing Group daily.
  • Maintaining Aurora purchasing system.
  • Managing local stock.
  • Executing regular purchasing duties and administrative processes efficiently.
  • Providing quality goods and services to a global fleet of vessels.
  • Sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers for the best purchase terms.
  • Providing feedback on vendor performance.
  • Performing additional relevant tasks as needed.
  • Implementing and managing third-party logistics.
  • Understanding ESG management in the supply chain.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
