Junior Procurement Specialist – Financial Services – Central London (2 Days per Week in Office) – £40,000 + Package
A rapidly growing financial services organisation is seeking a motivated Junior Procurement Specialist or high-potential graduate to join its expanding team in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone in the early stages of their procurement career who is driven by professional development and long-term financial success.

Key Responsibilities
- Support sourcing and supplier management activities across indirect categories under the guidance of experienced procurement professionals.
- Contribute to the delivery of cost savings, risk mitigation, value creation, and improved service quality—while supporting policy compliance.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and develop speed-to-contract capabilities.
- Assist with the end-to-end source-to-contract process:
- Intake
- RFI/RFP/RFQ preparation
- Basic cost analysis
- Negotiation support
- Supplier onboarding
- Contract administration
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand briefs/SOWs, and learn internal processes and policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including contributing to templates, playbooks, lessons learned, and tool/process adoption.
- Support the development and execution of category plans as part of your training.
Candidate Profile – What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this fast-track promotion scheme within one of the most successful procurement functions globally, you will ideally have:
- 1 year of experience in either direct or indirect procurement OR a demonstrable passion for building a long-term career in procurement
- A strong ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, including with senior business partners
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics, marketing, or a related discipline (or expected completion soon)
- A genuine interest in procurement and a willingness to learn and grow within the function
- An interest in pursuing CIPS certification or other relevant professional qualifications
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a desire to build commercial and negotiation capabilities
