Job description
About Us

Thrive is redefining what emotionally healthy education looks like. For over 30 years, we've equipped educators with the knowledge, confidence and evidence-based tools to support children and young people's social, emotional and mental health (SEMH). Rooted in science and proven practice, the Thrive Approach has been independently shown to improve attendance, behaviour and staff wellbeing.

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and creative Junior Marketing Executive to join the Thrive marketing team. This role is ideal for a recent marketing graduate looking for their first role in the industry or someone with early experience in a junior marketing role. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll support the delivery of day‑to‑day marketing activity across social media, email, website and events. This is an exciting opportunity to start or develop your career in a mission‑driven organisation that supports educators and promotes children's mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
  • Manage daily activity across Thrive's social media channels, including scheduling posts, moderating groups and engaging with online communities.
  • Create and source engaging bite‑size content and digital assets (e.g., images, videos, surveys, testimonials).
  • Actively listen and engage across platforms; respond promptly to queries and identify emerging themes, opportunities or concerns.
Content Creation and Coordination
  • Draft and edit copy in Thrive's tone of voice for use across a variety of channels.
  • Produce visual content for digital use, including basic graphics and short video edits.
  • Draft copy for marketing materials such as social posts, web pages and email content.
  • Assist with case study coordination, including gathering information, preparing interview questions, arranging calls, drafting content and managing updates.
Website and Email Marketing
  • Help maintain and update the Thrive website, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and on brand.
  • Support the creation and delivery of marketing emails, including building templates, updating content and testing.
Campaign and Project Support
  • Support the roll‑out of Thrive's updated brand across digital and offline touchpoints.
  • Work with external suppliers (e.g., designers, printers, agencies) to ensure assets are delivered on time, on brand and within budget.
  • Provide additional campaign support when required, helping with email builds, direct mail organisation, coordinating third‑party ads, and assisting with webinars and other campaign touchpoints.
Events and Awards
  • Assist with planning and organising Thrive's presence at regional, national and international events.
  • Support with logistics, preparing materials and liaising with event organisers and colleagues.
  • Support the preparation of award submissions by gathering information, drafting answers and coordinating with colleagues to meet deadlines.
About You
  • A degree in marketing or a related field or experience in a junior marketing role.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging content.
  • Confidence using social media platforms for business (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X)
  • Basic design skills using tools such as Canva or similar.
  • A willingness to learn simple video editing and content creation techniques.
  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms or the enthusiasm to learn.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with colleagues across the organisation.
  • A proactive attitude, curiosity and a willingness to try new tools and techniques.
It would be advantageous if you had…
  • Experience creating simple videos or editing short‑form content.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot or similar.
  • An interest in education, children's mental health and wellbeing, and supporting professionals working with young people.
