ABOUT THE ROLE

Join Our Team as a Junior Maintenance Engineer!

In this hands on role, you’ll play an important part in keeping our site running smoothly by helping to maintain and enhance our equipment, machinery, and facilities. Working alongside experienced engineer, you’ll get stuck into a mix of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • NVQ Level 3 / BTEC ONC or equivalent (Required).
  • At least 2 years of practical experience (Required).
RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance and Repair:

  • Carry out basic coating plant repairs and respond to engineering request forms under supervision.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks on manufacturing and facilities equipment.
  • Diagnose and analyse basic coating plant faults to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement by maintaining and enhancing site assets.

Technical Support and Record Keeping:

  • Operate as a multi-skilled engineer across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation tasks under guidance.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure correct levels of consumables and consignment stock are maintained.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Demonstrate strong health and safety awareness while carrying out maintenance tasks.
  • Support site H&S initiatives and ensure compliance with company and legal standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work effectively as part of the maintenance team to support production and operational goals.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
  • Timely completion of maintenance tasks and PPM schedules.
  • Accurate and complete maintenance records.
  • Compliance with H&S and operational standards.
  • Positive contribution to team collaboration and site reliability.
