  • Post invoices to ensure matter updates.
  • Assist in billing processes and reconciliations.

I am delighted to be partnering with an exceptional, well-established law firm to recruit a Junior Legal Cashier based in London.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to accounts payable and client account responsibilities, while developing a long-term career in legal cashiering within a prestigious legal environment.

What You'll be Assisting With:

  • Processing daily client and supplier payments in line with internal policies and SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Monitoring the invoices inbox and responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining accurate client and matter ledgers using Aderant.
  • Preparing and reviewing weekly supplier payment schedules and remittance advices.
  • Allocating receipts, payments and transfers on the same day to ensure ledger accuracy.
  • Verifying supplier and bank details in line with onboarding and AML requirements.
  • Operating daily banking transactions via online banking platforms.
  • Posting Land Registry and search invoices to ensure matters remain up to date.
  • Assisting with twice-weekly expense payment runs for authorisation.
  • Preparing daily bank reconciliations and month-end reports.
  • Supporting client billing processes and the allocation of receipts as required.
  • Providing proactive cover and support to the wider finance team during busy periods.

What I'm looking for:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads during busy periods.
  • Experience using Word/Excel, online banking and practise management software.
  • Prior experience within a legal environment.
