About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our growing team.

As a Junior you will have the opportunity to work on new and existing projects with a key focus on AI powered systems - SystemsX has products ranging from Call Monitoring / QA Platforms, Travel Booking, Drag&Drop No-code builders, Chat bots, Meeting notetakers and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of scalable and high-performing backend applications.
  • Take projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely and smooth delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing applications to identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement new features and functionality based on project specifications and user requirements.
  • Maintain best practices for testing, security, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, framework changes and CVE.

About You
  • Experience and understanding of Laravel & PHP (2+ years experience)
  • Experience and understanding of NodeJS (2+ years experience)
  • Proficiency in writing maintainable, optimised and scalable code.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and API design.
  • Experience with database management and advanced queries
  • Technically minded - enjoy digging into data, analytics, and optimisations.
  • Organised, independent, and results-focused — you thrive when given ownership and responsibility.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to self-manage.
Desirable Skills
  • Interest in ML/AI and implementing it in production environments.
  • Experience with Github, Ploi.io, Laravel Herd
  • Experience with Vue/Alpine,Livewire
  • Experience with Website scraping & NodeJS puppeteer
