Qualifications

Job description

Junior/Graduate Compliance Officer at Oodle Car Finance. We're based in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester – a few minutes walk from public transport links. While we operate under a hybrid working model, initial onboarding requires 2‑3 office days weekly. This ensures a smooth learning curve and fosters team integration. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity for a graduate to gain hands‑on experience in compliance monitoring, risk management, and regulatory change within a dynamic and fast‑paced financial services environment.

Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance Support
    • Assist in monitoring adherence to FCA, FLA and Data Protection
    • Support the maintenance and implementation of the firm's compliance policies and procedures.
    • Help identify, assess, and elevate potential regulatory risks and breaches.
    • Providing advisory support to internal stakeholders covering new business proposals, customer communications, financial promotions and key strategic projects.
  • Compliance Assurance & Reporting
    • Participate in the delivery of the compliance monitoring plan, including conducting reviews and reporting findings.
    • Maintain accurate records of compliance testing, agreed actions, and remedial actions.
    • Support preparation of compliance reports for senior management and governance committees.
  • Training & Awareness
    • Help develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programmes for staff.
    • Communicate regulatory updates and key compliance messages across the business.
  • Regulatory Change & Advice
    • Assist in analysing new and emerging regulations, assessing their impact on business operations.
    • Support the Compliance team in providing regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Data Protection & Conduct
    • Support activities related to data protection compliance, including breach logging and data privacy impact assessments.
    • Promote a strong culture of integrity and ethical conduct throughout the organisation.
    • Undertake SM&CR administration.
Qualifications
  • An interest in working in UK motor/Consumer Finance regulatory compliance.
  • A degree (2:1 or above) in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
