Overview

Junior Clinical Fellow in General Medicine/Care of the Elderly/Acute Medicine based at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital. Previous NHS experience is compulsory. The post includes a resident on‑call element and attractive supplementary banding payment for Clinical Fellows.

Responsibilities
  • Effective and appropriate medical care of inpatients, acute assessment and participation in acute medical and frailty take.
  • Monitor and manage in‑patients, contribute to outpatient and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Provide prospective cover for colleagues during Annual & Study Leave for on‑calls and day‑time cover.
  • Supervise unqualified or junior staff on a day‑to‑day basis to ensure appropriate patient care.
