Job summary

A global manufacturer of prosthetic technology is seeking a Junior Change Engineer to support the Change Management process at their Basingstoke office. The role requires strong CAD skills, specifically in SolidWorks, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. The ideal candidate will have an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and relevant experience.

Due to the continued growth and development of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary R&D team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Change Engineer to join our team at our Head Office in Basingstoke.

The role

As Junior Change Engineer, you be a key member of the Change Management process by actioning requests within the business to update technical documentation .

  • Working on Change Management to update technical documentation as per Change Requests .
  • Using CAD software (SolidWorks) to produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD based on data and information from the Change Management system
  • Establishing clear priority list of changes that align to production output and any new part introduction process
  • Reading and understanding business and supplier feedback or technical instructions to accurately translate them into CAD models and drawing amendments
  • Ensuring the Implementation , verification and validation of a given change request are executed correctly
  • Identifying areas for improvement in the process for updating technical documentation
  • Working closely with the design team to ensure CAD & drawings meet technical and functional requirements to adhere to BS8888.
  • Understanding the key stakeholders in the business who can assist with these changes, to allow them to be implemented in a timely manner

Essential skills
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of using CAD/CAM to update drawings
  • Basic SolidWorks Modelling experience
  • Strong communicator with good interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work as part of a team and or independently
