Overview of the Role

Maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure as an IT Systems Administrator at NeoBuild will be crucial to guaranteeing dependability, security, and efficiency throughout our network and digital systems. In addition to managing system upgrades and offering daily technical assistance to internal teams, you will be important in bolstering cloud systems and on-site technologies that are critical to construction operations.

Principal Duties

• Install, set up, and maintain servers, network infrastructure, hardware, software, mobile devices, and computer systems.
• Track and diagnose system performance, fixing problems as soon as they arise.
• Control system security procedures, user accounts, and access rights.
  Throughout the organisation, offer first- and second-line technical support.
• Keep system documentation, backups, and disaster recovery plans up to date.
• Help administer cloud-based systems (like SharePoint and Microsoft 365).
• Encourage the use of new digital technologies and IT solutions for building projects.
• Verify adherence to cybersecurity and data protection guidelines (such as ISO 27001).

Crucial Competencies & Credentials

• At least one year of experience in support or administration of IT systems
• Strong knowledge of computer operating systems and IT.
• Familiarity with online storage, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
• Capacity to configure PCs and mobile devices used for construction project monitoring, resolve connectivity issues, and maintain IT hardware
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
• A degree or certificate in computer science, information technology, or a similar discipline
• Knowledge of cybersecurity procedures, IT rules, and system compliance

Desired Qualities

• Knowledge of maintaining IT systems in the engineering or construction sectors
• CompTIA, Microsoft (MCSA/MCP), Cisco (CCNA), or comparable certification
• Familiarity with CRM systems, project management tools, or technologies tailored to the construction industry
• Comprehending data governance frameworks and ISO standards, such as ISO 27001
