Overview

This exciting and challenging role provides the opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Somerset Foundation Trust IT Services Desktop Support Team in Somerset. The post holder is responsible for leading, supervising and allocating work for a team of specialist IT technicians, and for ensuring that a high-quality IT support service is provided to all users of trust systems, in accordance with defined policies, procedures and service level agreements. The post holder will also on occasions deputise for the IT Support Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise and allocate work for a team of specialist IT technicians.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of major IT project implementations.
  • Ensure a high-quality IT support service is provided to all users of trust systems, in accordance with defined policies, procedures and service level agreements. This includes IT Security, Data Protection and Information Governance requirements.
  • On occasions deputise for the IT Support Manager.
  • There will be a requirement to work outside normal hours to upgrade systems or complete critical tasks; participate in the out-of-hours On Call Rota.
