Job description

IT Software Engineer required to work on a Hybrid System. My client is based in Gravesend so you must be able to get into Gravesend/Kent, once or twice a week. Sorry my client cannot take on people that need sponsoring or have post study visas so please do NOT apply if you have these.

Job Purpose

• You will be working in a small team with direct contact with stakeholders and users. One of the key operational systems the team is responsible for is the in-house Port Management system. This software is written in the low-code framework, Uniface. Prior Uniface experience is desirable but not required as training will be provided for a candidate with the right skill set, attitude and willingness to learn.

Job Responsibilities

• Take business requirements from conception to implementation utilising the Uniface platform and the underlying SQL server infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve problems in a professional and timely manner, including providing 3rd line technical support.

Skills required

• 8+ years' hands on experience in developing and supporting business applications in an enterprise environment.
• Proven delivery of enterprise solutions.
• Strong knowledge and experience of supporting and maintaining a SQL database server environment and associated database management.
