Rate: £650 per day

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong Retail IT and global retail systems delivery background to lead a portfolio of high‑impact technology initiatives across the EMEIA region. This role offers the opportunity to drive complex retail transformation programmes for a well‑known global brand, working across Stores, Digital, Supply Chain, Finance, and Corporate Technology teams.

The role will manage both Retail IT Infrastructure and Retail Systems initiatives, with a focus on vendor selection, proof‑of‑concept delivery, and global rollout. Key upcoming projects include an RFID tagging technology RFP, Oracle POS upgrade, and additional roadmap initiatives spanning retail innovation, compliance, visibility tooling, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own projects end‑to‑end, from initiation and discovery through delivery, go‑live, and transition into support
  • Lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives, including an RFID tagging technology programme
  • Manage RFP processes, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and delivery governance
  • Oversee delivery of complex Retail IT and Retail Systems projects (e.g. RFID, Oracle POS, SAP Retail)
  • Establish and maintain robust project governance, reporting, and assurance frameworks
  • Manage and coordinate a multi‑disciplinary delivery team of 10-15 people
  • Work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders across Retail, Wholesale, Digital, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT
  • Act as the primary point of contact for third‑party vendors and implementation partners
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards
  • Support delivery across a full global rollout footprint

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in retail systems and retail technology
  • RFID / tagging technology experience is essential
  • Hands‑on experience running RFPs and vendor selection processes
  • Strong capability in vendor management, contract negotiation, and commercial governance
  • Experience managing projects across multiple markets or global regions
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end project lifecycle delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, across technical and business audiences
  • Exposure to SAP Fiori
  • Experience with Oracle and/or Oracle Retail / Oracle POS
