A leading educational institution in Brighton is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Information Services team. The role focuses on managing IT infrastructure projects and requires substantial experience in project management practices with strong stakeholder engagement skills. Ideal candidates will be proactive, organized, and capable of articulating technical issues for non-specialist audiences. An exciting opportunity to become part of a small dynamic team in Information Services at the University of Brighton. This is your chance to join a team which provides project management and business analysis expertise for technology projects and initiatives linked to the transformation programme and our Distinctively Brighton strategy. In this role you will need to exercise a great deal of influence, independence, initiative and judgement, alongside an ability to steer and facilitate discussions balancing stakeholder interests with those of the University so that best outcomes are achieved in its IT development. With a commitment to best practice project management and promoting the discipline, we will want you to also mentor and support colleagues as part of developing the University’s capability in this area. The successful candidate will be pro‑active in collaborating with colleagues in IT, the wider University as well as external parties, bringing project management expertise to a wide range of change and improvement activities to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality.
