Position: IT Manager

Location: Glasgow

Offer: Up to £50,000 DOE

Engagement: Permanent

Hours: Monday-Friday – Standard operating hours 08:30 – 17:30, with flexibility for business demands, projects, and team time.

Purpose of the Role:

As the IT Manager, you’ll lead the smooth operation of all IT services on site and develop the onsite team. With strong project management skills, you’ll oversee high‑impact initiatives, communicate with stakeholders, and align IT with business functions.

Your Mission:

  • Be the guardian of IT services, ensuring downtime is a thing of the past through proactive strategies.
  • Take charge of bespoke applications on the factory floor, ensuring products are traced and labelled accurately.
  • Oversee the IT landscape, making sure the infrastructure is resilient and secure in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Lead continuous development of site initiatives, from infrastructure overhaul to maximizing digital tool benefits for end‑users.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans that support business continuity.
  • Maintain a diligent record of IT challenges and resolve them efficiently.

Who We’re Looking For:

Someone who:

  • Has a proven track record in IT support and project management with solid Microsoft technology foundations.
  • Has strong technical background: networking (switch/router config, cabling), server management, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and domain tools.
  • Has experience leading teams and delivering digital transformation initiatives.
  • Brings a problem‑solving mindset, adapts to change, and drives improvements.
  • Is eager to lead, motivate, and collaborate, making a difference in a busy manufacturing setting.
  • Has ITIL qualifications or knowledge, showing a structured IT service management approach.
  • Has a full UK driving licence and personal transport, ready to be on‑site when needed.
