A leading technology firm is seeking an IT Helpdesk Analyst with finance experience to provide exceptional IT support in a hybrid environment. You will work closely with high-profile users and ensure the smooth operation of critical systems. This role requires managing incidents, configuring hardware, and supporting trading applications.

IT Helpdesk Analyst - Finance Experience

Location : London (Hybrid / Remote)

Contract : 6 months

Rate : £500 per day (Inside IR35)

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for delivering exceptional IT support? We're looking for an IT Helpdesk Analyst to join a dynamic engineering team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced trading environment, supporting high-profile users and critical systems that keep the business running smoothly.

What You'll Do
  • Provide first and second-line IT support to Front Office, Trading, and VIP users, both onsite and remotely.
  • Manage incidents and service requests in line with ITIL standards and internal SLAs.
  • Build, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and network connectivity.
  • Administer and support platforms such as Microsoft 365, Gsuite, Citrix, SCCM, and Intune.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues on Windows client / server systems.
  • Support market data and trading applications like Bloomberg, Reuters Workspace, and IonTrading.
  • Handle user onboarding / offboarding with secure and compliant setups.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application support teams to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support, ideally within Investment Banking, Trading, or Financial Services.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Gsuite, and Citrix.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, VPN, DMZ, firewalls).
  • Exposure to market data systems and trading floor applications.
  • Basic PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and AGILE methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support high-profile users in demanding environments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computing Systems or related field (required).
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent (preferred).
  • ITIL Foundation certification (plus).
  • Spanish language skills (plus).
