Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in Lerwick is seeking a full-time Porter / Maintenance Assistant to support the Estates & Maintenance and Portering departments. The successful candidate will assist in the running of the Portering Service, performing duties such as transferring patients, delivering medical supplies, and carrying out routine maintenance across facilities. Essential requirements include a clean driving license and good communication skills. Initial training will be provided to ensure competency in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in maintenance.
• A current full driving licence with no serious convictions is essential.
• Initial training and induction will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the smooth running of the Portering Service.
• Carry out routine maintenance across NHS properties.
• Transfer and escort patients and visitors.
