A leading defense technology company in Emsworth seeks an IRT Technician to provide mechanical and electrical support for UK MoD equipment. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing military assets and delivering training to customers. As a IRT Technician you will carry out diagnoses, repair, testing, overhaul, integration, assembly and maintenance of military equipment. You will Deliver tailored training modules to military customers and attend customer locations as a field service representative to conduct service activity or fault rectification.
We are looking for an Integration, Repair and Test (IRT) Technician to provide both mechanical and electrical support to UK MoD equipment primarily at the Thorney Island facility but also in the field at customer locations.
IRT Technician responsibilities include fault diagnoses, repair, testing, overhaul, integration, assembly and maintenance of military assets. All of these attributes will assist in achieving equipment availability in accordance with the master schedule set by the customer. Working within a team environment the responsibility for achieving equipment availability and maintaining readiness levels will be the primary focus.
To be qualified for this role, you should hold a HNC or recognised equivalent in a relevant field (Engineering or Technology) and or have completed a recognised apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical trade with at least 3 years experience. Having worked in and around UK MoD structures and procedures would be beneficial but not essential.
