Investigation Officer - Triage
The General Medical Council (GMC) Fitness to Practise directorate is responsible for reviewing and investigating concerns about practitioners in the interests of public protection. We are seeking an Investigation Officer to join our Triage Team. The team examines complaints and concerns to determine if a practitioner's fitness to practise is called into question and whether further investigation is necessary.

This role involves decision-making, and applicants must demonstrate previous experience in making decisions based on established policies, guidance, and procedures. Excellent analytical skills are essential to identify and summarize concerns and produce well-reasoned, clear decisions explaining how and why decisions are made. Effective workload management and time management skills are also required.

The successful candidate's start date will be 10 November 2025. The initial three weeks will involve face-to-face induction at our Manchester office. The current office attendance requirement is a minimum of 2 days per month, with the first Wednesday of each month being mandatory.
