Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is hiring a Senior Radiographer for a locum position in Colchester. The successful candidate will deliver patient-centred imaging, mentor colleagues, and ensure high standards within the imaging team. Candidates must have a degree in Diagnostic Radiography and HCPC registration. This role offers competitive pay of 25–30 p/h, depending on experience, with flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
  • Strong recent experience operating at senior level in a hospital imaging team.
  • Comfortable supervising colleagues and maintaining high professional standards.
  • Confident user of hospital IT systems.

  • Contribute to image quality protocol optimisation.

Contract

Locum (Band 6 / 7)

Hiring now for a Senior Radiographer (Locum) in Colchester (Band 67). 2530 p / h depending on experience with flexible patterns and quick compliance.

What you'll do
  • Deliver safe patient-centred diagnostic imaging across a busy hospital service
  • Use RIS / PACS / EPR accurately; keep clear records and protect data confidentiality
  • Contribute to image quality protocol optimisation and routine QA
  • Mentor and support juniors / students; help coordinate daily workflow
  • Work closely with the MDT to meet service demand and turnaround times
Must-haves
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Diagnostic Radiography
  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer
  • Strong recent experience operating at senior level in a hospital imaging team
  • Comfortable supervising colleagues and maintaining high professional standards
  • Confident user of hospital IT systems (RIS / PACS / EPR)
Nice-to-haves
  • Any exposure to Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
  • Experience in Computed Tomography (CT)
