Intermediate / Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Our client has over 40 years of experience delivering thousands of successful projects, specialises in Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Environmental engineering across commercial, education, residential, and healthcare sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical services for LV Systems, Lighting and Lighting Control, Life Safety, Security, Audio–Visual, and Lightning Protection systems.
• Develop concept, feasibility, and detailed design proposals, including reports, specifications, drawings, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with UK building services regulations and industry standards.
• Utilize software such as DIALux for lighting design and Amtech for electrical calculations.
• Produce designs in AutoCAD 2D, with the opportunity to develop Revit skills.
• Attend client meetings and collaborate with contractors and design teams.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 4 years' UK–based electrical services design experience.
• Proficiency in DIALux and Amtech software.
• Strong understanding of UK building industry regulations and standards.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering (Degree preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Full UK driver's licence and own vehicle (travel to project sites required).
